Abstract

Abstract In this short communication are being presented and discussed the main changes that will be implemented in the Shenzhen Code, that will be published in 2018, approved during the Nomenclature Section of the XIX International Botanical Congress held in China, in July 2017. Among the most important modifications are the inclusion of a Note that clarifies inadvertent lectotypifications, it was approved the concept of registration of new names of algae and plants, the creation of a specific chapter for the rules restricted to fungi, modifications in Division III of the Code with the inclusion of procedures adopted during the Nomenclature Section, inclusion of the Appendix I (Articles dealing with names of hybrid organisms) in the body of the Code, among others.
