Abstract

In this work, we developed optically active polymeric composite which are employed as gain medium in random laser systems. Single-walled carbon nanotubes were added to the polymeric matrix aiming increase the number of scattering centers inside the samples. We also evaluate the random laser behavior when artificial scattering centers are introduced inside the samples. For that purpose, using a laser micromachining technique, we fabricated periodic patterns in the composites volume. As result, we also observed a coherent feedback of the random lasers, but the multiple peaks were locked in specific wavelengths, interesting feature for different applications. (AU)
