Abstract

We introduce a new method to calculate the nuclear radius from low energy fusion and total reaction cross section measurements. We apply it for several light stable and unstable projectiles on light mass targets (Be-9, C-12 , and Al-27). Our results are in reasonable agreement with the radii obtained from high energy experimental data. We also interpreted the results as a function of the isospin of the projectile, mass of the interacting target, and neutron and proton numbers. (AU)
