Abstract

In the last years, the study of the nuclei out of the stability line became the object of great interest because they constitute an extremely extensive field of research since light, rich in protons or neutrons, up to superheavy elements. These nuclei have extreme situations for the binding energy and isospin, constituting a 'laboratory' of tests for the nuclear models, and are important in the primordial nucleosynthesis and stellar evolution. The study of these nuclei at low energy has been done almost exclusively using the RIBRAS system of the University of Sao Paulo, except few measurements at Louvain-La-Neuve laboratory in Belgium and Notre Dame TWINSOL facility in United States. The RIBRAS system allows measurements in a low energy region not studied yet, where new phenomena may be observed. (AU)
