Abstract

ABSTRACT For plural health systems, promoting coordination between multiple sectors and governments levels is a permanent challenge. This study explores how the SUS dealt with this challenge during the Covid-19 pandemic, identifying proactive subnational actors, cross-sector cooperation and digital health as innovations that enhanced this coordination. Their emergence, the possibilities they represent for improving the SUS and how they can be sustained are discussed. (AU)
