Abstract
The main aim of this project is to develop a mathematical theory for three key aspects of networks, namely, (i) embedding of networks in communicability space, (ii) generalization of random spatial networks to include shape variation, and (iii) mathematical theory of long-range interactions on networked systems. These include important aspects of dynamics on networks such as synchronization and collective transitions. We will apply the methodology developed in this project in the context of the FAPESP-CEPID CeMeai of industrial mathematics by means of the industrial mathematics study groups. (AU)
