Abstract

The main objective of this project is to establish the Annual Plan for the Implementation of the Institutional Infrastructure Cost Research Installment, provided by FAPESP to Ibirapuera University (Fiscal 2019), derived from the 2018 projects. It is intended to strengthen and accelerate the development and implementation of the infrastructure for research projects supported by FAPESP. To this purpose, some adjustments and improvements in the infrastructure of the University Animal Facility should be made, as follows: ¬1) Complementing the existing infrastructure of the Ibirapuera University Animal Facility.Today UNIb's Animal facility has separate areas for specific functions, specialized rooms and equipment, as well as controlled environments. However, it needs adaptation in the service areas (sanitation and waste deposits). Briefly in the areas of Animal Facility there is nor equipment for sealing materials neither autoclaves for sterilization of materials, supplies and also the waste disposal area does not include cold room or freezer for storing animal carcasses in accordance with current legislation. Thus, this project proposes the acquisition of these equipment to create the minimum necessary structures in which the animals will be kept or submitted to the experiments and to keep them with sanitary quality and welfare. Finally, with the acquisition of these equipment the environment will be suitable for the development of current and new researches in preclinical models in experimental animals. (AU)
