Abstract
The Instituto de Zootecnia develops projects in all areas of animal production, with an emphasis, in the last decade, on sustainable animal production. Its project portfolio is carried out by 5 Research Centers (supported by other administrative centers), divided into Beef Cattle (Sertãozinho and São José do Rio Preto Unit), Milk Cattle (Nova Odessa and Ribeirão Preto Units), Zootechnics Diversified (Nova Odessa, Registro, Tanquinho and Itapeva Units - with sheep, buffaloes, pigs, and poultry), Nutrition and Pastures and Health and Genetics Center; these last two centers supporting all Research Units; all the centers mentioned are directly linked to the Postgraduate course in Sustainable Animal Production, with the aim not only of developing projects but also of training human resources and transferring knowledge. Of this portfolio of projects, several are those financed by Fapesp, including, among other regular aid projects, thematic projects with internal coordination (2016 / 14.522-7) and external (part developed within IZ - 2017 / 20084-5) and project institutional research development (PDIP - 2017 / 19570-5), in which the strategic areas of Beef Cattle Production, Milk Cattle Production and Integrated Agricultural Production Systems were prioritized. For projects already implemented and for future projects, in which the achievement of its goals and good progress requires optimization of the institutional research infrastructure, this proposal aims to request the use of the institutional technical reserve (RTI) for the acquisition of materials permanent and consumer products that ensure the good use of others already acquired or that complement their use and facilitate or complement services of laboratories and field units and third party services that enable the improvement of the infrastructure for the development of projects.
