Abstract

This Project aims to support the development of research carried out within the scope of the Oceanographic Institute, considering the multi-user research structures at its headquarters in São Paulo, its Research Bases on the north and south coast and on its larger vessels: ships, medium boats and smaller vessels dedicated to the study of the marine environment. To meet some more specific research demands, some structural, logistical, technical and scientific needs require adequate support for the installations, maintenance of equipment and services, seeking the operationality of the resources obtained in projects. Thus, the application of the Technical Reserve for Institutional Research Infrastructure of the resource provides for actions to support the structures that support oceanographic research which, added to existing resources, enhance the achievement of results, and, consequently, bring benefits and promote general improvements to the Unit's Research structure. Thus, an Application Plan for the FAPESP Institutional Technical Reserve for the year 2019 was approved, approved by the Extraordinary Congregation of IOUSP in October 2020. (AU)
