Abstract

The project on the agenda to be submitted for this phase of the program aims at the technological validation of an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) of a prototype of a literacy platform that was based on Neuroscience and Gamification and that provides gamified activities for this stage of learning, schooling. For this validation, the following tools will be used: "Mundo das Letras" and "Alfabeto Digital" in order to improve their pedagogical performances as part of a teaching-learning methodology. The tools that are integrated into this platform help teachers by offering solutions created specifically for the literacy process at each stage and in a personalized way, who decide which tools they want to use and, as they use them, they feed the database that allows visualizations of each increasingly interesting and complete that allow a follow-up of the students' evolution in the learning process, the identification of specific difficulties and suggestions of differentiated strategies to be taken by the teacher in particular cases. The validation of this prototype with a focus on literacy was motivated by the existing illiteracy rates in the country such as those presented by Unesco (2017) which show that there are 13 million illiterates in Brazil, INAF (2018) points out that 64% of the population has not reached the adequate proficient reading level and in literacy assessment of children aged 8 years (ANA, 2017) more than 50% of children finish the literacy cycle reading only words. The pandemic also impacted this cycle, in which 73% of students are in the "illiterate" category (Fundação Lemann, 2021). It is necessary to validate the prototype to assess what are the impacts on children's learning in this stage of schooling, which is so fundamental for human beings, since entering the written world guarantees full access to citizenship. At the end of this project, it is expected the use of the prototype by the partner company and the commercialization of the product by the headquarters company. After validation by the partner, it is estimated that it will be able to positively impact children's literacy learning, making teaching more meaningful and ensuring learning. (AU)
