Abstract

This research proposal is divided into four related projects that mostly deal with the physics of the Electron-Ion Collider, namely hadronic momentum distribution functions, the origin of hadron masses and the theoretical studies of nonperturbative Green functions in QCD. We discuss the theoretical and experimental background that motivates this proposal, highlight the observables of interest and describe the theoretical framework based on functional methods in QCD to tackle the challenges the new generations of hadron colliders offer.
