Optical properties of van der Waals heterostructures

Abstract

We will investigate optical and magnetic properties of emerging twisted van der Waals heterostructures. In order to meet this goal, the project will have the following specific objectives: (1) Implement strategies to achieve high-quality samples of twisted 2D heterostructures; (2) Study the effects of moiré pattern on the physical properties of interlayer excitons (2) Study of magnetic and optical properties of these heterostructures with different twisted angles; (3) Study magnetic proximity effects on twisted heterostructures based on 2D magnets.
