Abstract

The proposal is to develop a teaching-learning strategy and associated materials for work on Specific Competency 3 in the area of Natural Sciences and their Technologies in the Common National Curricular Base (BCNN) for High School. The objective is to provide experiences that favor the contextualization of the knowledge base foreseen for this teaching stage, based on the design of global triggering problem situations, which will subsidize the work with problem situations specific to the territory of each school (from an interdisciplinary perspective and under the general theme "Environment, Health and Territory"). The work will have as theoretical references the Educating Cities and the Science, Technology, Society and Environment (CTSA) approaches, with practices related to the mapping of points of presence of Science in the City and to research-based learning on themes associated with these points, together with media education activities. The following products will be delivered: guidelines - text and tutorial videos - for applying the methodology in the classroom; videos associated with the global triggering problem situations; catalog of productions on the co.educa platform suitable for complementary use in addressing the established problem situations. From the initial application of the methodology in a public school in the city of São Carlos (SP), research will be carried out on the learning outcomes obtained, the results of which, in addition to supporting the systematization of the methodology, will be disseminated through articles in journals and participation in events.
