The performance of a Brazilian adolescents sample in Conner's continuous performance test (CPT-II)

Abstract

The present project aims to study the performance of Brazilian adolescents, from 12 to 18 years-old, on the Conner's Continuous Perfomence Test - CPT II. Results from our sample will be compared to the american normative data. This project is an extention of a previous research with children from 4 to 12 years-old (FAPESP process n. 02/09395-3) done by the same research center at Escola Paulista de Medicina/UNIFESP. This version of the test is the most used in international publications on Attention Deficit Disorder. The results will be important for studying adolescents with attention deficits or impulsivity, and will help the diagnostic process through providing performance indicators suitable for our population.
