Abstract

The necessity to increase the productivity and to intensify the use of the soil, are demanding more and more chemical products and technology in the agricultural production, mainly the irrigation and the pesticides, that many times can cause irreparable damages to the environment. Although the concern with the contamination of the superficial and underground aquatic systems for pesticides is increasing by the society, especially in the scientific way, in accordance with the scientific literature much study has been done on the subject, in order to establish more adequate and efficient politics to the control of the environment contamination.In this context, this project intends to study the impact of the main pesticides used in irrigated farmings of the city of Morrinhos, state of Goias, in a representative place, the represa do Tijunqueiro, where agriculture intensive pratic are done with irrigation via central pivot. Aiming at the considered objectives, samples of superficial water (the sum and the ebb tide of the dam), sediments and fish will be analyzed, to contribute for the establishment of politics to the use of pesticides and monitoring of the quality of the water in areas irrigated by central pivot.
