Abstract

In this investigation we study: (a) The influence of chronic cold stress on mice in phagocytosis by macrophages mediated by different types of receptor: FcgammaR; CR1 and CR3, lectin and for apoptotic cells. It will also be assayed the release of pro-inflamatory and antiinflamatory cytokines and reactive oxygen species. (b) The effects of acute cold stress of 4 h on phagocytosis by mouse polymorphonuclear leucocytes (PMN). (c) The possible effects of stress hormones, specially corticosterone, on the phagocytic capacity of cytoplasts prepared from macrophages and PMN. (AU)
