Abstract

Lignin derivatives, obtained from Black liqueur, will be used to prepare columns for adsorption of heavy metals from solutions of our under graduation laboratories. Due the polymeric characteristics of this material, which presents superficial functionalities such as phenol and carboxylic groups, it also will be used to produce chemically modified electrodes beyond active carbon. The last one will be used to prepare carbon paste and carbon paste modified electrodes. Eletroanalytical applications include detection of metals and characterization of the electrochemical behaviour of drugs with antipsychotic properties and their interaction with neurotransmitters.
