Abstract
The present project proposes to develop sensors for determination of metals ions using chemically modified electrode with carbon nanotubes and reticulated quitosan. In this project commercial and reticulated quitosan will be used as adsorbent to different metal ions. The influence of the reticulation degree of the quitosan in the analytical response of the electrode will be analyzed as well as the relation between quitosan and carbon nanotubes in the electrode composition. The analysis of the metals ions will be realized by means of voltammetric techniques as cathodic/anodic stripping voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and square wave voltammetry and the best parameters will be checked for each element. Once defined the electrodes that present the best response for the metal ions analyzed the detection and quantification limits, sensibility, influence of the interferents and life time will be evaluated. The electrodes will be used for the determination of the analytes in residuary water from the Laboratório de Química Analítica (LABBES)/DQ/UFSCar and eventually from residuary water from the any local industry.
