Studies about the use of niobium compounds in multicomponent reactions

Abstract

Multicomponent Reactions (MRCs) are defined generally as a process where three or most reagents reacting, to form a product with structural characteristics of each used reagent, generating products with a good structural complexity in only one step.The use of catalysts (metallic, acid or enzymatic) in the development of the MRCs has been describe in the literature by diverse research groups and in this project we propose to study the applications of Niobium Compounds in Multicomponents reactions verifying the temperature effect and the molar concentration of these reagents in these reactions. The comparison of the yields, formed products ratio and reaction time of the Niobium Compounds used with other reagents will be, also, basic point of research.The reactions that we proposes to study in this work are the reactions for the preparation of tetrahydroquinolines, tetrahydropyridines and 4-alkyl-3,4-Dihydrocoumarines derivatives, compounds that present high pharmacological interest, using different Niobium compounds for the obtention of these derivatives. The Niobium compounds target of our studies is NbCl5, Nb(OMe)5 and Chiral Niobium derivatives using terpenic alcohol with chiral auxiliary. (AU)
