Development and analysis of an animal monitoring system using a wireless sensor network with ZigBee technology

Abstract

The wireless sensor networks represent an emerging paradigm of computing, where multiple nodes equipped with sensors, computing systems and autonomous capacity of wireless communication, constitute a highly dynamic network topology which allows to get information about complex systems being monitored. This project aims to use the techniques of electronic instrumentation, development, test and theoretical analysis and practice of a sensor network "wireless" to assist and provide greater security in data collection and monitoring of animals, as well the displacement performed of cattle.
