Abstract

Primary immunodeficiencies (PID's) are characterized by qualitative defects and/or quantitative, genetically determined, in one or more sectors of the immune system, which is responsible for protecting the body. The estimated prevalence of IDP's is 1:10.000. The Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVI) and X-linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA) are classified as antibody deficiencies resulting in hypogammaglobulinemia. In similarity with other chronic diseases, PIDs may occur with inflammatory disorders, endocrines and the exacerbation of oxidative stress. The aim of this study is to determine the lipid profile of patients with CVI and XLA and verify its association with nutritional status, lifestyle and food habits with enzymes and inflammatory marker related to cardiovascular risk. Will be evaluated through sectional study, prospective, controlled the 30 patients diagnosed with CVI and XLA, of both sexes, aged between 2 and 54 years old enrolled at the Department of Pediatrics, UNIFESP. Anthropometric assessment will be undertaken - such as weight, height, waist and brachial circumference and skinfold - and biochemical evaluation - by means of serum dosage of total cholesterol and fractions HDL-C (High Density Lipoprotein) and LDL-C (Low Density Lipoprotein) with analysis of APOB and APOA-1 (the main protein components of HDL-C and LDL-c) and quantification of sdLDL-C (smaller and denser fraction of LDL-C), triglycerides, C-reactive protein and the paraoxonase enzymes, myeloperoxidase, transference protein of cholesterol esters and lecithin: cholesterol acyltransferase.
