Abstract

The aim of the study is to evaluate the biochemical profile, including acute phase proteins and immunoglobulins, the population of microorganisms and somatic cell counts in colostrum / milk from 30 Jaffarabadi buffaloes, primiparous and pluriparous, which will be followed monthly during complete lactation. Before taking the samples of milk, physical examination of the mammary gland, strip cup test and California Mastitis Test (CMT) for the diagnosis of inapparent mastitis (subclinical) will be conducted. After asepsis of the udder, 50 mL of milk samples from each quarter will be collected into sterile plastic bottles without preservative, for the microbiological isolation, biochemical profile and proteic fractionation in polyacrylamide gel containing sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS -PAGE) and 50 mL of milk samples from each quarter will be collected into sterile plastic bottles containing a appropriate preservative for somatic cell count (SCC), an electronic counter infrared. In addition, the antibiotic sensitivity profile of microorganisms isolated from milk samples will assess. The data will be submitted to descriptive statistical analysis and the values and expressed as mean and standard deviation will be analyzed by the Tukey's test, after checking the homogeneity of the samples (Zar, 1999).
