The research project involves the analysis of socioeconomic and environmental impacts of the Agricultural Institute - IAC (APTA - SAA) , on the development of the main Brazilian coffee regions. We will analyze the impact of the adoption of main technologies for the coffee sector developed at IAC since its foundation, in 1887, until 2011, as well as the impacts resulting from the activities of IAC in training and development of human resources, in the same period. The evaluation of these impacts is relevant for recognizing and strengthening of the institute Institute, to demonstrate to society the benefits of those technologies and of the institution, as well as provide feedback for the institutional research programs, technical training and graduate. It is expected throughout the project, consolidating the results in documents addressed to producers, consumers, educational and research institutions on coffee in Brazil, and governmental institutions directly related to the object of study and non-governmental organizations acting on each of the themes or technologies analyzed.
