Abstract

The objective of this research is to try to understand the consequences of the expansion of the post-graduation of Federal Institutions of Higher Education (IFES) in the work of the professor and his relations with the everyday life in the university in the context, on the one hand, the privatisation and commercialisation of the public sphere, and, on the other hand, the privatisation/reconfiguration of public higher education, with structural changes in its institutional identity. In the specific case of this project, we explore in addition to identify what are the consequences of the growth in the post-graduate studies in the professor's work in this sector and to investigate the reasons for which teachers that academically stabilized not undefiled in other ways and remain developed its activities under the pressure of the ideology of productivity and the tariffs of research whose nature, to a large extent, are configured as exogenous. We'll be taken as representative of the daily life of the university life of the institutions to be studied in the configuration of the practice of the professor of the graduate program in education in determined institution, with activities considered relevant according to the evaluation criteria of CAPES. This project begins the fourth stage of research program started with the research FAPESP (process number 1996/5576 -0), followed by research (case number 2004/07559 -4) whose last stage was completed in 2011 with research FAPESP (2009/08661 -0).
