Abstract

Current concepts of inflammatory response, endotoxemia and laminitis in horses; experimental models for the study of laminitis induction and study of the inflammatory response; to study molecular mechanisms involved in the endotoxemia, the inflammatory response and laminitis in horses; to study the cellular component and cellular events of the inflammatory response; to study the mechanisms of action of the endotoxin (LPS) on the inflammatory response in the gastrointestinal, respiratory and locomotor systems.
