Vouacapans and geranilgeraniol synergic effect evaluation on nociceptive pain, pharmacokinetic and preclinical toxicological studies


This proposal is a continuation of our previous research work that identified geranylgeraniol and voucapan compounds as the major active principles involved with the antinociceptive activity. The studies proposed herein will permit to establish the sinergic relationships that take place, undergo pharmacokinetic studies of the pure compounds to further establish conditions to study the pharmakcokinetics of the standarized extract. Also preclinical cronic toxicity studies will be undertaken to establish safety doses to be employed. (AU)
