Abstract

The Regional Blood Center of Ribeirão Preto is a center of medical care, education and research linked to the School of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto. It holds the CTC - Center for Cell-based Therapy - CEPID-FAPESP and INCTC - National Institute of Science and Technology in Stem Cell and Cell Therapy - CNPq/FAPESP. The Computer Data Processing Center of Ribeirão Preto has structure of internet server and network equipment that meet the demand of its activities of medical care, education and research, also providing connectivity to internet by backbone of USP campus / Ribeirão Preto. However, with the growing demand of applications and use of computers network and internet, it is necessary the adaptation of the informatics network through the acquisition of a unique server for the installation of a Database that meets the Management Systems responsible for the data processing generated in the several Management and Research sectors. Through the establishment of a Database Server it will be possible to gain time in the data processing generated by the community of Researchers and Employees of the Regional Blood Center of Ribeirão Preto.
