Abstract

Professor Poppi will speak about Microbial Synthesis in Beef Cattle at the 50th Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Society of Animal Science and on the following week he will lecture at a short course for graduate students entitled Síntese Microbiana e Função Ruminal em Bovinos. The course will be held at ESALQ in Piracicaba-SP. The classes will be on the same topic of his speech and also about rumen function in cattle. The researcher is also expected to collaborate with the project 2012/09535-1 entitled Beef and Dairy Cattle Supplementation in Tropical Pasture, in which he is one of the participants. During that week, we intend to encourage the graduate students to present seminars about their current and future work, aiming to bring up discussion and receive feedback from Dr. Poppi on our methodologies used at our institution.
