In search for better production rates required by the current dairy scenario, there were new alternatives that positively influence the production of animal performance, such as the use of ionophores in cattle feed. Among these, we can mention the monensin, product engaged in manipulation of rumen fermentation, resulting in improved production rates. As ionophores are classified as antibiotics and their use can have a negative impact on consumer society, natural products have been developed and used. Among these natural products we can mention the use of essential oils (eg, the product Crina® Ruminants, DSM Tortuga) compound comprising thymol oil, eugenol, limonene, and vanillin.The starch being a major constituent of the diet, the use of products which are capable of improving their degradability and subsequent use by the animal has been studied. Using enzymes exogenous in dairy cows is still limited, but their use is justified by the pursuit of better performance and economic index. Studies have shown the effectiveness of the use of exogenous amylolytic enzymes on the performance of lactating cows due to the increase in milk production by the improved total tract digestibility of nutrients and increased microbial protein flow. Thus, the present study will be conducted to evaluate the use of essences oils (Crina® Rumints, DSM-Tortuga), associated with exogenous amylolytic enzyme (RumiStar®, DSM-Tortuga) in power dairies milking cows and will be measured the effects on consumption and apparent digestibility of dry matter and nutrients, ruminal fermentation and microbial protein synthesis, milk yield and composition, blood parameters concentrations and nitrogen balance.
