Abstract

The project aims to create a zone of intersection between the areas of mental health and workers' health, proposing a new area of attention. We intend to work in the development of an integrated network, specializing in work-related mental and behavioural disorders (WRMCD). In the first year we intend to realize two complementary studies: a meta-analyses revision on WRMCD (emphasis in bumout) and an epidemiological study in databases and DESMET INSS, in order to obtain as much information as possible about the incidence of WRMCD in the city of Santos. In the second year, we intend to perform a series of exploratory studies, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis with a focus on WRMCD. Six small studies with different populations will be developed within a context of environmental work characteristic of the city of Santos. The project also aims to initiate a movement within the workers unions that are linked to the intersectorial commission for the workers' health, to instigate health surveillance actions SMRT, in order to attend the most vulnerable populations. The medium-term goal (next projects) is the organization of a survey instrument for the etiological factors (risk) factors present in the work, that would be the prototype of a protocol of questioning in order to apply compulsory WRMCD network and the network of basic units of SUS. The final goal would be to create a reference center that could implement actions of medium and high complexities, formed by a network of specialized professionals (university, SUS, State, business and labor) and to perform actions of training and health surveillance, health and environmental WRMCD geared to the level of the municipality as a whole, considering the territories socio-economic and environmental characteristics. The objective is to contribute to the transformation of Santos as a sentinel city, in relation to the attention that workers' with mental health problems receive. (AU)
