Abstract

The development of validated methodologies is mandatory in order to meet the imposition of legislations and generate reliable and traceable results. The objective of this project is to validate a methodology for the determination of organic substances belonging to the group of so-called persistent organic pollutants - POPs - in organic waste of great agronomic potential as sewage sludge and liquid humus, which can be recycled and used as biofertilizers. A validated methodology must meet the criteria of a quality system that includes selectivity, linearity and range of application, precision, accuracy, limit of detection, limit of quantification and robustness, besides the validation of spreadsheets for estimating uncertainty of measurement.
