Abstract

The objective of this thematic project is to analyze control techniques for systems subject to uncertainties in their dynamic, gather under a single optic various approaches found in the current literature, as well their applications in practical problems. It is hoped to reach these objective through the development of the following topics: 1) stochastic approach: in this case the uncertainties are considered stochastic in nature, and a probabilistic analysis is adopted; 2) deterministic approach: in this case unknown probabilistic information on the uncertainties, leading to an analysis via robust, adaptive, non-linear or neural network controllers; 3) modeling, design and implementations: it is intended to apply the theoretic results to practical problems, which involves from the modeling of the system and its uncertainties to the development of the control project and its implementation and simulation. In all the topics, emphasis will be given to the development of numerical algorithms. (AU)
