Abstract
The study aims to evaluate the influence of nucleotide and glutamic acid in diets of weaned piglets on performance, blood lipid profile and turnover of carbon-13 in the small intestine. Four experiments are conducted totaling 342 piglets weaned with 21 days old, which will be submitted to the phases feeding program: pre-starter feed I from 21 to 35 days, pre-starter feed II from 36 to 49 days and the diets of 50 to 70 days old. In the first experiment (E1) the treatments are as follows: diets without nucleotides suplementation (control) , diets containing 0.2 % , 0.4 % or 0.6 % of nucleotides and in the second experiment (E2) will assess the factorial of treatments 2 x 2 (two levels of nucleotides: 0.0 to 0.1 %, and two levels of glutamate: 0.0 to 1.0 % in the diet). Both the E1 and in E2, seven replicates three piglets per unit will be conducted to evaluate the performance and blood lipid profile. In the third experiment (E3) and the fourth experiment (E4) will be studied the same treatments evaluated in E1 and E2, respectively. Studies turnover of carbon-13 in the mucous membrane and intestinal wall will be performed, so on days 3, 5, 8, 12, 20, 32 and 49 after weaning, will be slaughtered three pigs per treatment and on the day of weaning (day zero) will also be slaughtered three pigs, totaling 87 animals in each experiment . Samples of the intestinal mucosa and wall of the duodenum and jejunum will be collected and analyzed in a mass spectrometer of isotopic ratios (Delta V Advantage Isotope Ratio MS, Thermo Scientific, Germany). Performance results and lipid profile will be subjected to analysis of variance using the SAS statistical package, and isotopic data of the intestine will be analyzed by the method of exponential equations of the first order Minitab ® 16 software.
