Abstract

The professor Marcelo Cavalcanti is a senior researcher and international authority in nonlinear wave equations. During his three-months visiting term to ICMC-USP, Professor M. Cavalcanti shall collaborate in a local research project, namely, Asymptotic Dynamics of Nonlinear Non-autonomous Wave Equations, under coordination of Prof. Ma To Fu, supported by FAPESP. The central theme for this visiting project is the research on the long-time dynamics of a class of nonlinear wave equations. He shall also interact with other faculty members and PhD students of the Institute. (AU)
