Abstract

To contribute information about ecological restoration, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the herbicide glyphosate, glyphosate + 2,4-D, 2,4-D, and picloran on survival and growth of the tree species: Acacia polyphylla DC., Bauhinia forficata L., Croton floribundus Spreng, Ceiba speciosa (A. St. Hill) Ravenna, Heliocarpus americanus L. and Luehea divaricata Martius & Zucarini doses and their impact on the most common floral visitors of the reproductive organs - the bees Melipona scutellaris. The experiments will be conducted in a green-house and in the laboratory of the Center for Agricultural Sciences, Federal University of São Carlos, Araras, SP. In the first experiment, the experimental design used for each for each tree species will be randomized with treatments arranged in a factorial 4 (herbicides) x 9 (doses), with four replications. Tree species after establishment, will be sprayed with 1/64D, 1/32D, 1/16D, 1/8D, 1/4D, 1/2D, D, 2D and witness (without herbicide), and D is dose of the recommended rate of each herbicide studied. Will be assessed the percentage of phytotoxicity, height, stem diameter, leaf area, chlorophyll content, and dry weight of shoot and root of the species. In the second experiment, conducted in the laboratory native bees M. scutellaris be submitted via the same topical and oral doses of the herbicides used in experiment 1, and will be evaluated mortality rates are observed for 48 hours to establish the survival curve and the LT50 and the effect on behavior of the same.
