Abstract

To adapt the infrastructure of the clinical-laboratory database and repository of biological samples from children and adolescents with autoimmune diseases and primary immunodeficiencies at the Laboratory for Medical Research 36 (LIM 36) to the standards rules for a biological repository. The clinical-laboratory database and the biorepository were established after the approval and financial support of the thematic project "Autoimmunity in infants and children: Study of cellular and molecular bases of early-onset autoimmunity" (FAPESP No. 2008/58238-4) coordinated by Prof. Dr. Magda M.S. Carneiro-Sampaio. The adequacy of infrastructure will be accomplished through the purchase and installation of remote temperature monitoring system of freezers, the maintenance of -80ºC freezer for use in case of accident with the freezers that are in operation at LIM 36 and the acquisition and installation of equipments that will support the processing, the storage of samples and the systems BIOBANK, XUSD and LOGIN.
