Abstract

Small farms in Brazil, often located in remote areas of the distribution networks of conventional electricity, coupled with the fact of its low demand do not justify, in most cases, the investment to extend the network. In this context, it is present as a suitable application of photovoltaic power generation systems, which provide a local solution to source, reliable renewable energy space, and can promote self-sustainable social and economic development of the populations of countryside, improving the quality of life of its inhabitants. It is also noteworthy that, even in rural properties already served by conventional grid electricity can be used strongly the energy supplied by photovoltaic systems, since in most cases, the network is available only in the specific location of the farm households owner or its employees. Worldwide, several applications in the area of energy in agriculture are being held, while in Brazil, the projects focused on the use of photovoltaic systems in rural areas are mostly found in the pumping of water (domestic water supply, irrigation and fish farming), electrification of fences, ice production, water desalination, for collective use (electrification of schools, laundromats, public lighting, health and community centers) and home care systems. Studies designed to increase the efficiency of power generation of photovoltaic energy systems and scaling the site to be implanted with previous studies of the solar system are required for the maximum utilization of existing equipment is, is the availability of the natural resource available, collaborating with the implementation more robust and lower cost systems. This project aims to analyze the power generated by photovoltaic systems studied, firstly, the maximum power generated to explain his equation, which also enable the creation of an index of efficiency in relation to environmental conditions. Secondly, studying ways to fix the power curve for adaptation to actual operating conditions. Because the research proposals of this present project are generically, without the use of specific values of the parameters of a particular card, the results shall be its importance in the global scientific community. Subsequently, practical applications will be held in two sizing photovoltaic systems for use in rural areas at the Laboratory of Rural Energizing (Rural Engineering Department, FCA/UNESP/Botucatu) and Applied and Computational Mathematics Laboratory (CET/UNESP/Tupa).
