This project aims the synthesis, characterization and application of electrochemical sensors based on metal nanoparticles supported on graphene for the development of modern strategies for analysis of antibiotics in wastewater . The antibiotics have a limited degradation in the environment and continuous introduction through various wastewater, and can cause the development of genes of resistance in the environment bacteria, reducing long-term effectiveness of these compounds. Many studies focus on ways of sewage treatment for the removal of these xenobiotics, but few studies focus on the determination of these substances. Thus, this project aims the development of sensors combined with nanotechnology to produce advanced materials with improved performance, greater efficiency, durability, for the determination of antibiotics in wastewater.
