Abstract

Problem enunciation: Autonomy in health promotion through educational activities has been presented as a coping strategy to face the new challenges in public health, especially for primary health care. Autonomy in health promotion begins from a meeting between user and health professional that embraces communication and the negotiation of knowledge and experiences. A technology of care that meets this features is the Food and Nutrition Education (FNE), especially when applied group. Objective: Comparatively analyze educational models to the practice of FNE in a group, in the context of Sao Paulo, under the perspective of health autonomy. Methodology: It is an evaluative research composed of a formative and a summative evaluation. For the study three stages were named: (1) preparation of new model of FNE in a group, (2) comparative analysis of the proposed model with a control group, (3) proposition of indicators of health autonomy. The first stage will consist of an in-depth study, while the second will be an almost-experimental, prospective and comparative, between two groups - A (control) and B (proposed). The study will be conducted in the Reference Center for the Prevention and Control of Diseases Associated Nutrition, being the data collection made during the development of the groups through observation, using audio and video recorders. Group B will include the qualification of the coordinator and the formative evaluation. At the end of the meetings of both groups, interviews will be conducted with the participants in order to understand the summative analysis by comparing these. For data analysis, the Discourse Analysis technique will be used, through which will allow the identification of the indicators of autonomy. (AU)
