Abstract

Esther Scliar's "Fraseologia Musical" (Musical Phraseology), presents a rare example of this kind of work in Portuguese language. However, 30 years after its publication, we still don't have an objective evaluation of Scliar's theoretical contribution. In this project, we propose the contextualization of Scliar's thought in the subject of musical phraseology, comparing it with authors contemporary to Scliar and with more recent works in the field. As a side product, we also propose a new critical edition of "Fraseologia Musical". (AU)
