Abstract

In addition to a diverse portfolio of research, Embrapa Pecuária Sudeste has two thematic Fapesp projects in progress ("2012/236388:Bases moleculares da qualidade da carne em bovinos da raça Nelore" e " 2011/515640:Estratégias de cruzamento e de manejo para otimizar o desempenho materno e reprodutivo de ovelhas decorte, para a produção de carne e de couro ovinos de qualidade, na região sudeste", which was recently prorrogated). All projects will takeadvantage of additional infrastructure of research. Therefore, present proposal aims to obtain financial resources from the technical institutional reserve for the acquisition of equipments which will complement infrastructure oflaboratories of Embrapa Pecuária Sudeste. Priority is given to equipments shared amongseveral users (multiuse)and with potential impact on as many projects as possible. Embrapa Pecuaria Sudeste is finhishing its expansion and modernization in the laboratories complex, essential steps to fulfill institutional research goals. (AU)
