Abstract

This research seeks to analyze the members of Regional Coordinators of Women´ perception about domestic and familiar violence of Justice Courts from States and the Federal District in Brazil, concerning the access to justice to women, genre violence and the endeavor to implement the legal system that Maria da Penha Law brought by a safeguarding women's human rights perspective. We will use individual and group questionnaires as collection data instruments. The study will be carried out with members who compose the Regional Coordinators of Women concerning domestic and familiar violence from Justice Courts of each region of the country, created by National Justice Council (CNJ initials in portuguese) by the Resolution n. 128, of march 17th, 2011. We understand that, these institutions are not only responsible for the accomplishment of the obligations stipulated by this resolution but they are prime locations to promote programs and actions to guarantee the access to justice to women in their various dimensions as well. In terms of results and impacts, this research aims to provide subsidies to justice agents, specially to those in charge of domestic and intra-familiar violence issues. Also, by the methodological strategy adopted (focused groups), we seek to foment the process of debate, reflection and conception of transformations Judiciary´s work in order to improve their politics and institutional actions which objective is to reinforce the Brazilian state obligations contained in the International Women's human rights treaties.
