Abstract
The strongyloidiasis is a parasitic disease caused by the nematode Strongyloides stercoralis. This helminths can take extreme gravity, culminating in death, especially in immunocompromised patients. Increasingly it has used Strongyloides venezuelensis species as an alternative for the production of antigens, in addition to studies on aspects of host-parasite relationship. Using proteomics, this study to evaluate the expression of proteins in different developmental stages from S. venezuelensis, and identify immunogenic proteins filariform larvae of S. venezuelensis recognized by anibodies presente in serum samples from experimentally infected rats.
