Abstract

The Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research (IPEN), linked to the University of São Paulo (USP) in its Graduate, occupies an area of 500,000 m2 and consists of several units, designated research centers, as well as all supporting infrastructure as library, city hall, administration, medical service, etc.The guidelines of the institution is defined by its Technical and Administrative Council (CTA), created in 1982. This consists of the Superintendent and the Directors of: Research, Development and Education, Administration and Infrastructure, Products and Services, Security and Planning and management. The CTA approved in the minutes of July 21, 2016, the implementation of the Institutional Technical Reserve portion of FAPESP for its Annual Plan for investment in institutional infrastructure for research - year 2016. Use of this feature will be FAPESP for the construction of special gas lines for various research laboratories, spread across its different centers (quarter) and for the acquisition of multi-user character of equipment for scientific research.The motivation / justification for these applications are:(I) gas lines: the construction of gas lines for external centering cylinder aims to meet the research and service to safety standards and good laboratory practices required by the Conduct Adjustment Term - TAC-IBAMA, signed by IPEN, consolidating the institutional commitment to physical changes in their laboratories, according to various standards. This action also aims to meet the ISO 14001, which does not allow the presence of high pressure gas cylinders inside the laboratories. Therefore, measures are necessary to mitigate this serious security problem with the special gas installations in IPEN research units, enabling them to occur successfully. It is a quarter of enabling this action at home.(II) Multi-User Equipment / Accessories and Maintenance Services: Centers: CLA (Lasers and Applications Center), CQMA (Chemistry Research Centre and Environment), CB (Center for Biotechnology), CRPq (Reactor Research Centre) and CEN (Nuclear Engineering Center) demand in this request, some equipment / accessories and / or some maintenance services essential to the progress of the scientific research conducted in their laboratories.
