Discussion of research projects involving the extrusion process of diets with different proportions of protein and carbohydrates and involving thermal and mechanical energy balances; dissemination of knowledge through technical lectures


Dr. Sajid was invited to visit the Faculdade de Ciências Agrárias e Veterinárias da UNESP, campus de Jaboticabal, to participate as collaborator in discussions of two studies FAPESP 2013 / 20340-0 " Diets with different protein and carbohydrate ratios for cats: effects on energy and protein metabolism and methods to evaluate energy expenditure", and the project executed by Master's Degree student funded by a scholarship from FAPESP through assistance of CNPq 44751 / 2014-0 " Addition of different amounts of thermal energy in the conditioner on the cooking starch, digestibility and palatability of extruded food for dogs and cats". Moreover, he will give technical lectures during an event at the university. A third objective is to discuss protocols for collaboration and how to improve the protocol of data collection in studies about extrusion of food for animals. (AU)
