Abstract

The development of antistatic packaging for electronic components is of great importance for the growth of this sector in Brazil. This importance is due to the need to transport and store products in appropriate and favorable conditions to not compromise the characteristics and properties of these products. The antistatic materials used for the production of packaging for electronic components have a low electrical resistivity charge accumulation when compared to other conventional packages. The objective of this research project is the development of polyamide 6 (PA6)/linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) blends-based carbon black nanocomposites for applications in antistatic packaging for electronic components. The study is based on the processability and compatibility of nanocomposites, using techniques, methods, and equipment to obtain materials with better dispersion of the phases of the polymer blend and effective distribution of the nanofiller in the polymeric matrix, resulting in improvement in mechanical properties and low electrical resistivity.
