Abstract

This study will evaluate isolated and combined effects from exogenous enzymes on digestibility of some ingredients used as feed for poultry and pigs, giving sequence study who started in Process FAPESP 2012 / 00507-0, whose results are been submitted to publishing. Some abstracts were presented at international conferences as one got recognition by the scientific community. In this proposal, first step will be evaluating the broilers performance up to 21 days of age. When will be used preliminary results from nutritional balance and amino acid digestibility (AA) in comparison with ingredient compositions of Rostagno et al. (2011) for the same ingredients: corn, soybean meal and rapeseed meal. The following steps will be evaluated: nutritional balance and digestibility of AA of the above ingredients in poultry, around the fifth week of age; nutritional balance and AA digestibility with same ingredients, using laying hens in two distinct stages of production cycle; balance of nutrients and digestibility of AA corn, soybean meal and rice bran in piglet weaned and pig in growing phaseFor broiler performance 432 chicks a day old, divided in 3 groups (3 ingredients testing) of 144 birds each, will be allotted in a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications (8 birds / rep). The diets will be formulated according to Rostagno et al. (2011) for nutritional requirements, however, will be applied results from preliminary research project, using the ingredient under presence or absence of exogenous enzymes (diet 1 and 2) and in diet 3 shall apply data Rostagno et al. (2011). The digestibility with chickens will occur at the end of performance test, using same birds when they will be housed in metabolic cages under DIC, with 4 treatments arranged in a factorial 2 x 2 with 5 replications (7 birds / rep). Treatments will be: phytase levels (0 and 1), carbohydrase levels (0 and 1). For determination endogenous losses (DPE) in digestibility assay will be used one DPE diet, applied to 6 replications (7 birds / rep). For trials laying hens will be assessed ingredients: corn, soybean meal, wheat bran, sorghum, sunflower meal and canola meal. For each ingredient evaluation will be used 80 birds (4 / experimental unit) allotted in DIC to receive 4 treatments in 5 replications. Total 480-birds will be used for evaluation of six ingredients. An additional group 24 birds (6 experimental unities) will kept to receive DPE diet, therefore, a total of 504 birds. The experimental evaluations will occur at the beginning of laying, between 18 and 20 weeks of age, when will evaluate only nutritional balance. In higher production, between 35 and 40 weeks of age, will occur a new evaluation for nutritional balance and ileal digestibility. For trials laying hens will be assessed ingredients: corn, soybean meal, wheat bran, sorghum, sunflower meal and canola meal. In pig trials, 150 animals will be divided into 6 groups, each one 25 piglets, allotted in DIC, with 8 treatments and 3 replications (1 pig / rep). Due to limited number of metabolic cages, the test will be replicated for each ingredient, when treatments will be arranged in a factorial arrangement 2 x 2 x 2, with phytase 0 and 1 levels, carbohydrase 0 and 1 levels, and two ages. For each test an extra metabolic cage will be maintained (25th), totalizing 6 replications (3 by age). (AU)
