Abstract

The UNESP Institute of Biotechnology (IBTEC) was inaugurated in 2012 aiming the development of bioproducts and services related to biotechnology in the areas of human and animal health/production, environment and agriculture, in a sustainable fashion. Currently, IBTEC hosts several research groups, which have received expressive funding from FAPESP and are working in diverse areas related to genetics and biotechnology. In this context we already have multiusers laboratories in operation, which are very important to our institute. Therefore, the improvement of the building's electrical panel for the installation of big equipment as well as cell culture rooms is fundamental to assure the adequate infrastructure for the development of the ongoing research projects. Furthermore, the application of this funding is necessary given that such requests cannot be covered by resources from our university. (AU)
