Abstract

On the Brazilian side, Dr. Carlos Eduardo ALMEIDA was recently awarded by The São Paulo Research Foundation-FAPESP (Process number 16/08176-9) to the "Young Investigator Award Program" being allocated in The Institute of Biology of The University of Campinas (IB/UNICAMP); and on the French side there is Pr. Myriam HARRY allocated in the Evolution, Genome, Comportment, Ecologie (UMR EGCE, CNRS-IRD-Université Paris SUd), with two ongoing findings: IDEEV (Institut Diversité Ecologie et Evolution, Fédération de Recherche) and Labex BASC (Biodiversité, Agroécosystémes, Société, Climat, Université Paris-Saclay). An annual meeting in each country will be conducted, when the coordinator from each side will be able to introduce their staff and update the counterpart on the progress made by each. It will facilitate and potentiate the interaction between Principal Investigators and the fellows involved in each part This call brings up the opportunity to exchange experiences by means of seminars, short courses, lectures, etc. We also expect that this opportunity act as an incentive for research internships abroad for students from both countries. Finally, one of the main goal of this purpose is to design projects to be submitted to other funding agencies, such as ANR (The French National Research Agency), PAHO (Pan American Health Organization), WHO (World Health Organization), among others.
