Abstract

Studies have been pointing that observing responses are necessary to establish visual discriminations. Beyond it, the use of equipments for eye tracking (ISCAN) during conditional discrimination procedures have allowed to link observing responses, equivalence relations and stimulus control research areas. The present project aims to use the ISCAN to track observing responses � eye movements � during conditional discrimination training (AB BC) and equivalence tests (BA, CB, AC and CA) involving two comparisons. Non-sense figures will be used as visual stimuli. Tracking eye movements will make it possible to describe the sequence of observed stimuli. According to previous study and projects that are being developed, it will also allow verifying stimulus control topographies, especially by rejection. The present project aims to obtain baseline data that will help in the formulation of new experiments and in the control of new variables involved in the relation between observing responses, equivalence relations and stimulus control.
